These objects and sense faculties do not exist because of their very nature. In terms of the intrinsic nature which is uncreated, transcendent, independent, and self-contained, forms do not exist because they arise, that is, originate from dependent causation (pratityasamutpada). As these phenomenal forms are dependent on previous causes that would demon strate the non-substantiality of phenomenal things. This is the basis of the Wisdom view which must be cultivated in order to co/rectly apply the Process of Generation, the method of purifying the various emotional natures.
