Conclusion The concluding part of the ceremony begins with your rejoicing in what you have done. The meaning of what is repeated here is the recognition that now, having taken the Bodhisattva Vow, your birth as a human being is meaningful. It is a recognition of the excellence of how you are leading your life and rejoicing in that. Think that by taking this Bodhisattva Vow, "Today I have become a child of the Buddha. I have become a Bodhisattva and I will remain such from today onward. " One rejoices in one's own taking of the vow.
While reciting this supplication, please visualize all of the images you are chanting. Imagine countless forms of yourself making prostrations to countless Buddhas again and again. Further, imagine all of the offering substances which are described being emanated continuously. Think that you are admitting to and confessing all of your various unwholesome actions and that you are revealing your obscurations. Rejoice in the merit of ordinary beings and of the Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, Bodhisattvas and Buddhas.
May the intentions of such protectors bring happiness and prosperity to all beings. May all sentient beings be happy. May the lower realms be emptied forever. May the earnest aspirations of Bodhisattvas of all stages be accomplished. May all sentient beings have happiness and the cause ofhappines~·. May they be free from both suffering and the cause of suffering. May they never be separated from the highest bliss, which is withoui' suffering. free ofattachment and aversion to those near and far.
