Tasks, organizational processes, and life-cycle phases In Fig. 3 the papers are arranged according to their relation to these three elements of structuring. The arrangement is based on my insight, which took shape during the evaluation of the papers. According to the figure the first group would be the papers that are mainly targeted on relating the first two issues (the product and information items). The papers by Smith & Duffy, Jarventausta & Pulkkinen, Vainio-Mattila and Jensen [6, 10, 12, 13] are clustered into this group.
